उत्तर

Length of the larger rectangle = 1 ×  9 cm = 9 cm

Breadth of the larger rectangle = 1 × 9 cm = 9 cm

∴ Area of shaded region = Area of larger square – Area of 41 small identical square

= 9 × 9 – 41 × 1 × 1

= 81 – 41

= 40 cm2
