Matilda made the mistake of never being happy with what she had in life. Despite being raised in a family of clerks, she had always yearned for a life of luxury and opulence. Due to this, she borrowed a stunning necklace from a friend, only to lose it later and have to pay for it with her entire life. The lesson of Matilda's error is the value of contentment in life. Being content with what we have and resisting the urge to constantly want more is essential. We will never be truly content or at peace if we are constantly looking for more. Furthermore, it's needed to understand that having material things does not guarantee happiness. Spending time with loved ones or taking in nature are examples of simple things that can make us happy and content.
