उत्तर
At the time of India's independence, the globe was seeing the start of the Cold War between the communist USSR and the capitalist USA.
- At the time, the Indian Prime Minister, along with the national leaders of Egypt and Yugoslavia, declared non-alignment and refused to join any bloc. They denied offering direct assistance to both the USSR and the United States.
- Non-Alignment kept India out of Cold War clashes and did not affect its relations with both the United States and the Soviet Union. Prime Minister Nehru took the correct action at the moment.
