अधोलिखितम् पद्यांश आङ्गलभाषया अनुवादं कुरुत।

लोकान्तरसुखं पुण्यं तपोदानसमुद्भवम्‌।
सन्ततिः शुद्धवंश्या हि पतह च शर्मणे॥
तया हीनं विधातर्मां कथं पश्यन्‌ न दूयसे।
सिक्तं स्वयमिव स्नेहाद्‌ वन्ध्यमाश्रमवृक्षकम्‌॥

“Indeed, merit earned through penance and charity brings happiness in the next world; but a virtuous lineage of pure descent brings peace and liberation to departed ancestors here and hereafter.

O Creator (Lord Brahma)! Seeing me devoid of such offspring, how are you not pained with sorrow? You look upon me just like someone staring at a barren ashram tree that they had lovingly watered with their own hands.”
