In a survey conducted in the National Capital across twenty school on the areas of interest of the children in the age group 13 to 15 years, some interesting data was thrown up. The survey indicated that music related activities were most sought after, with sixty percent (60%) of the children showing a general inclination towards it. Cricket turned out to be second popular activity with forty percent (40%) of the students being avid players of the game. Theatre occupied the interests of thirty-five percent (35%) of the respondents surveyed. Finally Art of Dance each seem to have captured the imagination of twenty five percent (25%) of the children. It is seen that each child in unique with a different set of interests. Of course the survey was limited to the National Capital and by any means it cannot be extrapolated as the interests of children across the country. It was amazing to know that it was not playing cricket in which maximum students showed their interest. Rather music interests the maximum number of school children. Then, with a great margin, cricket becomes their second choice. It may be due to the reason that during corona period, children had to shift their preference to solo and indoor activities. Once more, with a slight variation, kids tend to be interested in theatre. Unexpectedly, these aspiring artists have ranked dance and art as their last but not least preference. Above all, the poll made clear the 'healthy' reality that developing kids prefer actual activities to digital ones.
