The Vivekanand Education Society has been established in the year 1972. Since then it is running a High School in Hindi Medium at Sitasaongi & Polytechnic from 1983-84.
Vivekanand Polytechnic, Sitasaongi is situated on State Highway No. 87, connected by the road and the board railways.lt is 21 kms. away from Tumsar on Tumsar – Katangi – Balaghat Road and the nearest railway station Goberwahi. It is also situated in the Industrial mining belt of Chikla – Dongribuzurg – Tirodi mines of Mangane ore(z) Ltd. This is the first Institution in the backward area of Vidarbha. It has got highly qualified personnel for importing technical education. Apart from this, the institution is having a full fledged Workshops, Laboratories and othe training facilities.
