St. Xavier’s Jr. College celebrated Teachers’ Day with immense enthusiasm on September 5, 2026, to honour the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The event was organised by the Students’ Council in the college auditorium.
The day began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony followed by a heartfelt speech by the Principal, who highlighted the vital role teachers play in shaping society. In a fun role-reversal tradition, Class 12 students took over junior lectures for the first half of the day, gaining a firsthand appreciation for the teaching profession.
The cultural segment featured a vibrant mix of patriotic songs, a humorous skit about classroom life, and a graceful dance performance. The highlight of the event was a “Title Ceremony,” during which teachers received personalised awards and handmade cards as tokens of gratitude. The celebration concluded with a grand lunch and a standing ovation for the faculty.
