If I were to design a Maratha coin, I would make it represent the greatness and values of the Marathas. On one side, I would place an image of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with a sword and a fort in the background. This would represent his bravery and his efforts to protect the kingdom. I would also add the saffron flag, symbolising Hindu culture and unity.
On the other side, I would write a message in Sanskrit, inspired by Shivaji Maharaj’s royal seal. Around the edge, I would include small symbols such as a ship for the Maratha navy, a book for knowledge and justice, and two hands shaking to represent respect and harmony among different religions. Overall, the coin would show that the Marathas were brave, just, wise, and respectful towards all religions.
