On May 19, 2022, starting at 6 p.m. at Golden complex, a musical event called "Swaranjali" was organised as a tribute to Lata Mangeshkar, the singer known as "Swar Kokila". The programme began with the lighting of the lamp in front of Lata Mangeshkar's photo which was followed by Ganesh Vandana, which signifies the removal of darkness. Smt. Kala Choudhary, the chief guest and secretary of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, said that Lata ji's passing left a gap in the music and film industries that would never be filled. It is an irreparable loss to the country as well.
The scintillating musical evening was organised by Roses and Petals, a non- profit organisation. Playback singers from Bollywood sang many of her memorable songs like 'Rahe na rahe hum', 'Meri awaaz hi pehchaan hai' was presented which brought tears to the eyes of all those present in the programme. The show was honoured by Smt. Kala Choudhary, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting who was the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest whole heartedly appreciated the entire programme. The zealous performance of all the participants became the talk of the town.
