Living together does not always ensure strong bonding. Competition for attention, favoritism, and property-related issues can create jealousy and misunderstandings among siblings. In a joint family, personal space is often compromised, and decisions are usually made collectively, which may limit individual choices and aspirations. Thus, despite promoting togetherness and cultural values, joint families may also face challenges such as conflicts, lack of privacy, and dependence on others for decision-making.
