Mirabai: She was Rajasthani princess of Mewar. who lived during the time of Akbar. She was married to Bhoja Raj in 1516, the heir to Rana Sanga of Mewar. She renounced the world and became devoted of Lord Krishna. Her devotional songs are still very popular. Her brilliant poetry is known as Padavali.
