Uber Cup or World Women’s Team Championship was added for the first time in 1956-57. Uber Cup is named after Mrs. H.S. Uber from England. The Uber Cup was played every three years since its inception. After the year 1984 the tournament has been held after every two years with the format of three singles and two doubles.
