उत्तर
Narcotics are medications that induce drowsiness and central nervous system depression. They contain potent alkaloids that are harmful even at low concentrations, but at higher doses, they cause convulsions, coma, or stupor (suspension of sensibility), which ultimately leads to total paralysis and frequently death. When someone uses these medicines frequently, they develop an addiction. These medications lead to bodily degradation in addition to severe mental decline. These addictive substances have caused millions of people to suffer all over the world. Opium and its derivatives, especially heroin and morphine, are highly addictive. Of these narcotics, heroin is the most harmful. Vomiting, diarrhea, shivering, twitching, sweating, and cramping in the muscles and abdomen are some of its withdrawal symptoms. With the right care, these symptoms go away in a few days, and the body gradually returns to normal.
