1. Deccan plateau is the largest part of the peninsular plateau.
2. It is roughly triangular in shape.
3. It covers an area of 7 lakh sq km.
4. The height ranges from 500 to 1000 m above sea level.
5. It extends from Rajmahal hills on the East to Kanyakumari in the South. Satpura range in the West to Kanyakumari in the South. Bordered by the Western Ghats on the West and the Eastern Ghats on the East.
