उत्तर

  1. In India, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha is elected by the Lok Sabha members themselves. Once elected, the Indian Speaker is required to operate impartially and to avoid active party politics to retain impartiality. The Speaker rules over the proceedings, imposes discipline, and has the last say in categorizing a bill as a Money Bill.
  2. House members, typically from the majority party, elect the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. The US Speaker is still an active political leader, leading their party in the House and having a significant effect on legislative policy and strategy. Unlike the Indian Speaker, the American Speaker is overtly partisan and is not required to be neutral.
  3. While both are presiding authorities, the Indian Speaker acts as an impartial protector of parliamentary procedure, whereas the American Speaker is a powerful political figure who influences national legislation and party viewpoints.
