For long-term needs, angel investors can be a reliable source of funding. These are the investors that are prepared to take on risk and ask for little to no control in exchange for the opportunity to acquire a business that could one day be worth a lot of money. Angel investors can be classified as either (i) affiliated or (ii) non-affiliated. Professionals and business associates are examples of associated angels, whereas middle managers, entrepreneurs, and professionals are examples of non-affiliated angels.
