A Small Act of Kindness that Made a Difference
One rainy afternoon, I was returning home from school when I saw an old man standing near a bus stop. He looked worried and was trying to protect himself from the rain with a small newspaper.
I had an umbrella, so I walked up to him and offered to share it. He smiled gratefully and told me that he was waiting for a bus but could not see the route numbers clearly because of his weak eyesight. I helped him identify the correct bus and waited with him until it arrived.
Before getting on the bus, he thanked me warmly and said that my small act had made his difficult evening much easier. His words stayed with me.
That day, I realised that kindness does not always require money or great effort. Sometimes, a little help, given at the right moment, can make a big difference in someone’s life.
