उत्तर
Two writs enforced by courts are:
- Mandamus: It is the command from a Superior court to a lower or administrative authority to perform a certain duty.
- Writ of Prohibition: It is an order issued by a superior court to a lower court to stop proceedings which are out of the jurisdiction of the lower court. The Supreme Court and the High Courts issue Writ to a person who detains another in custody and commands him to bring the prisoner into Court and tell the time and the cause of the arrest. If the cause is insufficient, he is at once unconditionally released.
