उत्तर
The political history of India before the Gupta period was very complicated. Firstly, after Alexander’s exit from India, his generals occupied Iran and Afghanistan. They attacked India under Demetrius II and occupied Kabul valley and parts of Punjab. Then Shakas entered and Rudradaman was the most famous Shaka ruler in India ruling Sindh, Gujrat, Konkan, Malwa, and Kathiawar. Thereafter Parthians and Kushanas ruled over Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Then came the Mauryan empire followed by the Satavahanas.
