Nuclear fusion requires an extremely high temperature of about 106 °C to overcome the repulsion between positively charged nuclei. No ordinary container can hold matter at such a temperature, and scientists have not yet been able to control fusion to produce electricity steadily. Therefore, it is not possible for commercial purposes.
