उत्तर
In a myopic (short-sighted) eye, distant objects are focused in front of the retina. A concave lens (diverging lens) is used because it diverges the incoming light rays, so that after refraction by the eye lens, the image is formed on the retina. Thus, it helps the person see distant objects clearly.
