उत्तर

India is mostly an agricultural country. The majority of the population depends on agriculture. India’s rural economy still relies on agriculture and agro-based sectors. Agro-based businesses include cotton textiles, tobacco, and jute sugar. India earns significant foreign exchange by exporting agricultural commodities such as cotton, tea, cashewnuts, spices and oilseeds to industrialised countries. Agriculture, as a source of income, helps to reduce migration from rural to urban regions.
