उत्तर

  1. Manchester imports into India declined as British mills were preoccupied with war output to suit the needs of the army. Suddenly, Indian mills had a large domestic market to serve.
  2. Due to the length of the war, Indian industries were called upon to supply war necessities such as jute bags, cloth for army uniforms, tents and leather boots, horse and mule saddles, and so on.
  3. New factories were built, and existing ones were run in shifts to improve production.
  4. Many new workers were hired, and everyone was required to work longer hours.
