उत्तर
(i) and (iii)
Explanation:
Bones form the structural framework of body called skeleton. The skeleton along with muscles, helps our body parts to move. Muscles are like elastic bands which are attached to the bones by means of tough connecting bands called tendons. The muscles move the bones by their pull. Muscles cannot push. Therefore, to move the bone in one direction, at least two sets of muscles are required. A pair of two types of muscles help the bone to move. One of them contracts and becomes shorter, stiffer and thicker. This pulls the bone in one direction. The other muscle of the pair relaxes when one contracts. To move the bone in the opposite direction, the relaxed muscle contracts itself and brings the bone back to its original position. This time, the first muscle is relaxed.
