1. Information Management (IM): Information Management provides facilities to store, retrieve, and modify information on various devices.

2. Process Management (PM): Process Management keeps track of all running programs (processes). In multiuser systems, it schedules processes and dispatches them one after another.
   Examples:

   • Managing multiple users’ programs
3. Memory Management (MM): Memory Management keeps track of all memory locations and determines memory allocation policies.
