Marie Curie was an exceptional scientist because of her courage, determination, and dedication to science. She continued her research despite living in poverty and facing many hardships.

After discovering radium, she chose not to patent it or earn money from it because she believed that scientific discoveries should benefit everyone. She was also honoured with the Nobel Prize twice first in Physics and later in Chemistry.
