उत्तर

Each carbon atom in graphite is sp2 hybridised and is bound to three other carbon atoms. Each carbon atom forms three sigma (σ) bonds with neighbouring carbon atoms in a planar hexagonal layer, leaving one unhybridised p-orbital that forms delocalised π-bonds.
