उत्तर

Seismic Focus Epicenter
The point inside the Earth where the earthquake originates and where the seismic waves are first generated. The point on the Earth’s surface directly above the seismic focus.
Also called the hypocentre. Located at the surface above the focus.
Located beneath the surface, often at a depth of 8 to 35 km. Lies on the Earth’s surface, directly above the seismic focus.
Seismic waves radiate outward from this point. Earthquake tremors are often felt most strongly near the epicentre.
