Screening occurs when a player attempt to prevent an opponent who does not control the ball from reaching a desired position on the court. Screening may be legal or illegal. Legal screening occurs when the player who is attempting to screen an opponent is not in motion and standing still and also has both the feet on the floor. Illegal screening occurs with the player who is being screened.
