उत्तर

When the ore particles are heavier than the gangue particles, this procedure is employed. The technique’s basis for separating the gangue particles from the ore is the difference in the specific gravities of the two particles. A water current is used to wash the powdered ore when the heavier ore particles are left behind after the lighter impurity particles are removed. This technique, known as levigation, is typically applied to oxide ore concentrations.
