उत्तर
The after image effect, also known as the persistence of vision, is an optical phenomenon in which the visual impression of an object continues to be seen for approximately one-tenth of a second even after the exposure to the light stimulus has ceased. It happens because photochemical activity in the retinal photoreceptors persists briefly after the stimulus ends, a principle that forms the technological foundation for cinematography and television by presenting still frames in rapid succession to create the illusion of seamless motion.
