उत्तर
- The preservation of organisms in their natural habitat is known as in situ conservation. In other words, it entails maintaining and safeguarding biodiversity in natural habitats. Animals can move around more freely because the habitat is relatively larger. Evolution enables us to understand more about various species. In the context of ecosystems, biodiversity maintenance and conservation are beneficial.
Example - Sanctuary and National Park - Ex-situ conservation refers to the preservation of organisms away from their natural habitat, or original location. It helps us to study species through adaptation. Although there may be less mobility due to the limited environment, it is important to safeguard and preserve endangered species. This is done by creating an artificial habitat that resembles the natural conditions.
Example - Zoological Park, Botanical garden
