उत्तर
Diploid (2n) cells are cells with a doubled chromosome number. During fertilization, the male and female gametes unite, and their chromosomes combine in the zygote. Therefore, the chromosome number in the zygote is diploid (2n). For example, in human beings, the diploid chromosome number is 46, and each body cell contains 46 chromosomes.
