उत्तर
The effects of pollution on the environment are as follows:
- Global warming: The term "global warming" describes the anomalous increase in the earth's temperature. Methane and carbon dioxide are two common greenhouse gases that are thought to be the main causes of global warming. Due to these gases' inability to let heat escape, the temperature of the atmosphere rises, resulting in global warming. Additionally, the melting of glaciers is raising the water levels of rivers and seas, which eventually raises the risk of flooding. Numerous health hazards are associated with it as well, including a rise in illnesses like malaria, cholera, dengue, plague, etc.
- Decrease in soil fertility: Because contaminated soil is less fertile, the yield from the soil is also reduced. If certain crops are able to grow, they may have absorbed harmful chemicals from the soil and pose a major risk to the health of those who eat them.
