A Court of Appeal is one which may change the decision or reduce the sentence passed by the lower Courts. The Supreme Court is the final Court of Appeal. An appeal lies to the Supreme Court from any judgement or final order of a High Court in the following conditions:
(i) If the High Court certifies that the case involves a substantial question of law of general importance and (ii) that the question needs to be decided by the Supreme Court.
An appeal in criminal matters also lies to Supreme Court.
