1. Reason for my choice: 
   I chose the vocation of an electrician because electricity is an important part of our everyday life. Electricians install, maintain and repair electrical systems. It is also a skilled vocation that can provide good employment opportunities. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) includes Electrician among the vocational trades supported through skill-training programmes.
2. How is it helpful to society?
   Electricians help society by:
   
   • Installing and repairing electrical systems.
   • Helping homes, schools, hospitals and offices use electricity safely.
   • Maintaining electrical equipment and solving electrical problems.
   • Supporting the smooth functioning of many workplaces and services.
3. How is it helpful to oneself?
   This vocation helps a person to:
   
   • Develop useful technical and practical skills.
   • Find employment or start a service-based business.
   • Earn a living through skilled work.
   • Become independent and confident.
