उत्तर

Number of shares issued: 10,000 shares of ₹ 100 each

Premium: ₹ 20 per share

Amount payable per share:

Application: ₹ 10

Allotment: ₹ 40 + ₹ 10 premium = ₹ 50

Final Payment: ₹ 50 + ₹ 10 premium = ₹ 60

Applications received = 13,000 shares

Applications rejected = 2,000 shares

Applications considered for pro rata allotment:

13,000 − 2,000 = 11,000 shares

10,000 shares were allotted against applications for 11,000 shares.

Application money received:

13,000 × ₹ 10 = ₹ 1,30,000

Refund on rejected applications:

2,000 × ₹ 10 = ₹ 20,000

Excess application money adjusted towards allotment:

(11,000 − 10,000) × ₹ 10 = ₹ 10,000
