i. The Rhine Valley was demilitarised and the German territory located to the west of the Rhine Valley was occupied by the troops of the Allies for next 15 years.
ii. The strength of the German army was reduced. While the number of soldiers was restricted to one lakh, the navy was limited to only 15,000 men and 24 ships.
