उत्तर
Side of the square = 5 cm
∴ Area of the square = Side × Side
= 5 cm × 5 cm
= 25 cm2 ...(1)
Side of a new square = 2 ...(Side of the given square)
= 2 × 5 cm
= 10 cm
∴ Area of the new square = Side × Side
= 10 cm × 10 cm
= 100 cm2 ...(2)
Thus, (1) and (2) shows that the area will be increased by 4 times.
