Let the List Price = x

Sales tax = 8% of x = `(8)/(100) xx x =(2x)/(25)`

Sales Price = List Price + Sales Tax

13,500 = `x + (2x)/(25)`

13,500 = `(27x)/(25)`

x = `(13,500 xx 25)/(27)`

x = ₹ 12,500.
∴ The list price of the television be ₹12,500.
