उत्तर

The length of the longest pole that can be put in a room of dimensions (10 m × 10 m × 5 m) is 15 m.

Explanation:

Given, dimensions of a room, l = 10 m, b = 10 m, h = 5 m

∴ Length of the longest pole = Diagonal of a cuboid (room)

= `sqrt(l^2 + b^2 + h^2)`

= `sqrt((10)^2 + (10)^2 + (5)^2`

= `sqrt(100 + 100 + 25)`

= `sqrt(225)`

= 15 m

Hence, the length of the longest pole is 15 m.
