उत्तर

Let the length of the shadow of the tree be x m

∴ Height of the tree = `sqrt(3) xx m`

If θ is the angle of elevation of the sun, then

` tan theta = (sqrt(3)x)/x`

= `sqrt(3)`

= tan 60°

∴ θ = 60°
