∠AOB + ∠COB = 180°
Since, the sum of adjacent angles AOB and COB = 180°
(90° -x) + (90°+ x) = 180°
⇒ 90°-x + 90° + x = 180°
⇒ 180° =180°

The exterior arms. OA and OC are in the same straight line.
