Given scale = 1 cm : 5 km, i.e. 1 cm in picture = 5 km of actual distance
∴ 5 cm in picture = 5 × 5 km of actual distance
Hence, the actual distance between the two places is 25 km.
So, 5 cm represent = 5 × 5 = 25 km distance
