Now, Area of square ABCD = S

Let side of square ABCD = a

∴ Area = a² = S   .......(i)

So, side of square EFGH = `a/sqrt(2)`

∴ Area = `(a/sqrt(2))^2 = a^2/2` = A  ......(ii)
