1. Wheat is a major rabi cereal crop cultivated in Punjab. In China, it is grown in regions such as Henan, Shandong, Hebei, Anhui and Jiangsu.
2. Wheat is a rabi crop and is usually cultivated during the winter season. It requires a temperature of about 10–15°C at the time of sowing and 21–26°C during harvesting. Wheat grows best in areas receiving 75–100 cm of rainfall and thrives in well-drained, fertile clayey soil.
