Pituitary
LH and FSH

Androgens (Testosterone)
Sperm
- The hypothalamus secretes gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH), which stimulates the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland to secrete luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone.
- Leydig cells are stimulated by LH, which results in the testes secreting testosterone.
- Sertoli cells in the testes release an androgen-binding protein (ABP) in response to FSH, which concentrates testosterone in seminiferous tubules. It also stimulates the secretion of certain substances that aid in sperm production.
