`2x^2 - 6x + 9/2 = 0`

The equation `2x^2 - 6x + 9/2` = 0 has real and equal roots.

D = b2 – 4ac

= `(-6)^2 - 4(2)(9/2)`

= 36 – 36

= 0

Hence, the roots are real and equal.
