Newton second law state that The force acting on an object is equal to the rate of change of its momentum:
F = `"dp"/"dt"`
If m is the mass of the object, and v its velocity of motion then `overlinep = moverlinev`
The above equation can be written as
F = `"dp"/"dt"(moverlinev) = m"dv"/"dt"`
∴ F = ma
