• Efforts were being made to provide facilities to senior citizens and small children in the parks.

Reshma’s experiences show both the problems and the facilities of city life. The loud siren of the ambulance could be heard clearly, but the road was so crowded that no vehicle could make way for it. This is a serious problem because an ambulance carries patients who may need immediate medical treatment. Traffic congestion can delay emergency services and may even put lives in danger. Reshma also noticed a large crowd around water tankers after the regular water supply was reduced. This shows how water shortage creates inconvenience and tension among people. Cities therefore need better traffic management, proper water supply systems and careful use of water.

At the same time, Reshma also saw some positive efforts being made in the city. Parks were being improved so that senior citizens and small children could use them comfortably and safely. Special seating arrangements, walking paths, play areas and other facilities can make public spaces more useful for everyone. These observations show that city administration has to manage many different needs at the same time. Proper planning, disciplined citizens, sufficient public facilities and judicious use of resources can help make city life safer, cleaner and more comfortable.
